Outstanding golf experiece

Played 3 days in a row, and wished it was more. Thoroughly enjoyed all three 9's in this remote hideaway. A & B are simply amazing. C is tight but great fun. This is what golf is supposed to be. All directions offer incredible views. The vista's are breathtaking. Course was in excellent condition as we were told that the head pro is also the head greens keeper. Irish weather makes it play differently as the day progresses. Welcoming, friendly and helpful staff. Links golf at its best.

Connemara Golf Links a Hidden Gem

My wife and I wanted to play a links course during our trip to Ireland without breaking the bank. Stopped in at Lahinch on our drive along the coast to the Cliffs of Moher and figured it would cost us well over $500 Euros factoring in green fees, rental clubs and caddies. The weather was miserable so the decision to take a pass was an easy one. I read some favourable reviews of the Connemara course online and decided to make the scenic drive through the national park from Galway City. Best decision we made on the trip. Found a terrific deal on green fee through Golf Now on a sunny Tuesday afternoon. When we got to the course it was very quiet, so we played as a twosome at a very leisurely pace. Brand new Callaway M-2 rentals, pull carts and green fee for a grand total of $150 Euros. Course condition was immaculate, greens rolled true and some stunning views of the Atlantic, and surrounding scenery from several holes. Had a nice long chat with the genial gent in the pro shop who offered us the opportunity to play another 9 holes on the C loop, which we regretfully had to decline because of time constraints. If you're looking for a 27 hole diamond in the rough on the west coast of Ireland, strongly recommend a trip to the Connemara club. For an equally delightful place to visit and stay, check out the nearby village of Clifden.

Magnificent Links Course

One of the finest links courses I have ever played in Ireland. This was our first time playing the course and it was a challenge - but very rewarding.
