Superb setting for this lovely nine hole. You tee off from the elevated 1st and the burn running through the middle of the fairway acts like a magnet ! The third is not for a slicer as the rough on the right is a real killer. Make sure your car is parked well back from the road, as the fourth can bring you mighty close to the car park. The fifth is either a birdie chance or double figures ! A 100 yard par three, you tee up a cliff ! If you get it up and down, you should look at at least par, but catch it wrong and you could be there for some time. Watch out for sheep on the par 5 fifth. The rest of the holes run along the banks of the river and are wide and flat, but again, problems could occur for the slicer. A must for any golfer visiting the Borders.

Innerleithen golf course is good, but is not in a respectable condition at present. The fairways are dry, and the greens are extremely fast. Where are the greenkeepers?
