Course Description
Drumoig is a new 7,017 yard course over natural free draining and rolling countryside, incorporating the most extensive training area designed by the Scottish Golf Union for National Training, plus unique lodge - hotel - clubhouse arrangement providing a relaxed environment and offering the golfer surroundings second to none.
Drumoig's golf layout is wholly natural over sandy based ground in rolling terrain with no real climbs. The views are truly spectacular with St. Andrews Bay and town seen to the south and Carnoustie to the north east. There are further scenic views to the north and the north west with the hills of Angus and Perthshire quite breathtaking in the distance. On a clear day you can see some of the famous Munro peaks to the west.
The features that will draw golfers to Drumoig are the water holes and the rather unusual and magnificent quarry greens. The demanding range of holes make scoring a real joy. With extensive tree planting and a five year plan of improving all aspects of the course we are ensuring that Drumoig is going to be a place to play in Scotland. Centrally situated it enables the golfer to use Drumoig as a base to play other championship courses in the area i.e. St. Andrews, Carnoustie, Rosemount, Downfield, Ladybank, Scotscraig, Crail, The Dukes and Lundin Links all lying approximately thirty minutes from Drumoig.
