Course Description
Located 4 miles from the market town of Haddington on the A1, in the historic village of Gifford.
One of the oldest golf courses in East Lothian, Gifford Golf Club was designed by Willie Watt of Royal Epsom in 1904 after it was bequeathed to the villagers in that year by the Marquis of Tweeddale; golf having been played on the course since the 1880's.
Nestling in the foothills of the Lammermuir Hills just outside the village of Gifford is a gently undulating 9 hole parkland course, maintained to the highest standards with first class greens played on all the year. Gifford does not employ temporary greens during the winter months. The Speedyburn meanders through the course and comes into play on four holes. The course is bounded by mature forest with many wooded areas throughout.
