As a total fair weather type of golfer Alexandra Park Golf course has provided me and my chums hours of joy in the recent summers. Not Pebble Beach by a long shot but still a fairly good public course.

Alexandra Park is a course that has really been thrown together with a small piece of land that was available to the council. Even on the most calm of days the course gets breezy, and it is a very hilly course. The holes are all quite short, the longest being a 350 yards par 4. There are many in the region of 130-180 yards. A good course to work on your irons and pitching, and small greens too mean you have to be quite steady allot of the time. Some of the biggest hazards are the impossible rough, which will swallow up and hide your ball if it gets in there. Also, the little kids from the nearby council estate who love to steal your ball as it disappears out of your sight down the slope on the 3rd.
