Wonderful course with panoramic views over Glasgow. Well worth the visit.

Fereneze Golf club has several holes which are 'challenging': The second, is a raised green with A protecting bunker to the left, and an area of heavy rough to the right. The back area off the green is directly into heavy rough (lost ball country). The front of the green has a sloping drop away, which can mean the ball rolls almost back to the tee!! The sixth, is a par five right dogleg: third shot to a blind and raised green! Fereneze Golf club has several holes which are 'demanding': in that the features are such that the player must think about course management. Several holes have tricky out of bounds nearby. For instance the last hole, a par four downhill, has out of bounds to the left, and a water hazard down the right. If you have a good score on your card up to the tee, there is a danger in trying to protect the score by steering the ball down the fairway - often fatal, as I would testify! An enjoyable test to all levels of golfer.
